Quick update:

Firstly, a big thank you to everyone who has offered to help around the grounds over the coming weeks — your support is, as always, hugely appreciated.

The scoreboard upgrade is scheduled for Tuesday, all being well. The new system will be a more modern version of what we currently have, so it should still feel familiar for those operating it during upcoming matches.

As part of the upgrade, we’ll need to make the scorebox watertight. We’re also planning to improve the scorers’ room shortly after the senior season finishes — ideally before the weather starts to turn. We’ll be putting a team together for that, so if you’re willing to help out or have relevant expertise, please get in touch.

Finally, on a more disappointing note, it’s come to my attention that there have been some complaints about the food available on senior matchdays. Please remember that those working in the kitchen are volunteers, not paid staff. They give up their time to support the club and often miss the chance to watch the game or the people they came to support.

We always welcome extra help in the kitchen, especially during first team games. So if you’d like to turn a negative into a positive and lend a hand, please speak to me — your help would go a long way.
